Level: Beginner - Advanced
What to Expect: In this workshop, learn how to paint a variety of Maine trees based on an image. This workshop is degned for the beginner , but students with prtevious experience are welcome to join.
The first part of the workshop will entail the application of washes and blocking in basic shapes to establish the composition. This will include gesture painting, learning how to be loose and free with your brushwork. The second part will give you the opportunity to break down the compostion into detail of ights and shadows, developing form, color, and textural elements.
You will have the opportunity to experiment with the following techniques.
Wet-on-wet
Dry brushing
Color lifting
Glazing
Each class will begin with a short meditation to minimize inhibitions associated with the creative process.
A supply list will be sent when the class is determined to run.
