Free Abstract Landscape Painting Demo

Level: Beginner - Advanced
What to Expect: Learn how to find your own unique style of abstract landscape painting through exercises in letting go and trusting the creative process.
Photos will be used as inspiration. You will learn how to use the following tecniques to create an abstract landscape from a Maine landscape photo.
Impasto
Scraping
Stippling
Glazing
Gestural painting
The meditative aspects of the creative process will be emphasized to help in letting go and overcoming inhibitions and perfectionism to paint expressively.
No experience is required, just an openness to making new creative discoveries.
An oil painting supply list (solvent-free) will be provided when the class is determined to run if students choose to paint along. A recording will be sent to all partipants for painting at a later time. Students are welcome to use acrylic if preferred.
