Abstract Plein-Air Oil Painting, 7/17
When: Thursday, July 17th, 6-8 pm
Location: Western Promenade near the statue of Thomas Brackett Reed
Level: Beginner - Advanced
What to Expect: In this workshop, learn how to paint an abstract sunset gesturally while establishing a basic composition. You will then experiment with color to develop light and shadow, form, and texture.
You will focus on the following techniques.
Impasto
Scraping
Stippling
Staining
Gestural painting
No experience is required, just an openness to making new creative discoveries.
An oil painting supply list (solvent-free) will be provided after registering. Students are welcome to use acrylic if preferred.
Payment will be refunded if workshop is canceled due to rain.
