Oil Painting - Abstract Landscape, Group Classes, In-Person, 4/30-5/21

When: Tuesdays, 10:30 am-12:30 pm, April 30th-May 21st (4 classes)

Location: Portland New Church, 302 Stevens Ave., Portland, ME

Level: Beginner - Advanced

What to Expect: In this class you will learn how to use different landscape images as inspiration for finding your own unique style of abstract landscape painting. In addition, you will have the opportunity to explore the following techniques.

• Impasto

• Scraping

• Stippling

• Glazing

• Gestural painting 

Mindfulness techniques will be used to overcome natural inhibitions and perfectionism in order to paint expressively.

No experience is required, just an openness to making new creative discoveries.

An oil painting supply list (solvent-free) will be provided when the class is determined to run. Students are welcome to use acrylic if preferred.
